Neighborhood Scanner is not a consumer reporting agency

Neighborhood Scanner, operated by Myles James LLC ("we", "us"), is not a "consumer reporting agency" as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. ("FCRA"). The information we provide has not been collected in whole or in part for the purpose of serving as a factor in establishing a consumer's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing or any other purpose authorized under the FCRA, and it is not a "consumer report."

Prohibited uses

You may not use Neighborhood Scanner or any information obtained through it, in whole or in part:

• To screen or evaluate tenants or make any housing or rental decision;
• To make any employment decision, including hiring, promotion, retention, or screening of household employees such as nannies, caregivers or contractors;
• To determine eligibility for credit, loans or other financing;
• To underwrite or determine eligibility for insurance;
• To make any decision about eligibility for a license, government benefit or other permissible purpose under FCRA § 604;
• To stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, discriminate against, or invade the privacy of any person, or to locate a person who does not wish to be found;
• To commit or facilitate identity theft, fraud or any other unlawful act;
• In violation of any federal, state or local law, including laws restricting the use of sex offender registry information.

Sex offender registry information

Registry information comes from public state registries through third-party providers and may be incomplete, outdated or mismatched. It is provided only for public safety awareness. Verify any record with the official state registry or the National Sex Offender Public Website (NSOPW) before relying on it. Misuse of registry information to commit a crime against a registered person may be a crime in itself.

Accuracy

We obtain information from public records and commercial sources that we believe are reliable, but we do not verify every record and cannot guarantee accuracy, completeness or timeliness. Do not rely on Neighborhood Scanner as the sole basis for any important decision.

Your certification

By using Neighborhood Scanner, you certify that you will use it only for lawful, personal, non-FCRA purposes such as general neighborhood awareness and protecting your own property, and that you understand that violations may result in account termination and legal liability.
